I have seen issues with apple (Mac and iPhone) devices loosing connectivity on wpa2 after each rekey. Symptom is the device drops offline for several seconds, sometimes connecting another network if one is available. This wreaks havoc with FaceTime calls. I’ve also seen iPhones drop off wifi entirely if another network is not available until you disable and re-enable wifi

I found that extending the rekey interval makes it happen less. I think i set the interval to something very large

This happens on my iPad also at around the same time each night! I thought it was my router being bad.

I’ve always thought this is due to Wi-Fi Assist [0] being less than helpful? Never tested any further though

I don't think that is the problem, just something that kicks in after the problem has happened and wifi has disappeared. Eg, on my macbook, I was loosing wifi every hour before I tweaked the settings on the router.
